So the Blog took a wee summer break for August and is back with batteries recharged and raring to go.
September’s chapter is a little different to the usual Blog – because I want to tell you about something that’s about to happen rather than talk about the month just gone. However – if you happen to be reading this AFTER the event I’m about to describe – fear not, because we hope this will be only the first of several, so keep watching this Blog and my Facebook page for news of more to come…
Caroline Blackie (wildlife photographer ) and I (Scottish wildlife artist) have been busy putting our first exhibition together, and we’ve called it ‘INSPIRED BY NATURE.’
We share a love and passion for our local wildlife and both feel blessed because we live in a part of the world which is not only very lovely but also has an abundance of flora and fauna, so there’s never any shortage of inspiration, no matter the season.
We see things through very different eyes – Caroline through the lens of a camera, while I want to capture what I see with a paintbrush or coloured pencils. Now we would like to share the beautiful wildlife we have captured in the Liddesdale valley and invite you to come along to our special joint exhibition.
It’s being staged at The Brox, half a mile north of Newcastleton, from Thursday 9th September to Sunday 12th September, 11-4pm.
You will have the chance to view our work and also to buy exclusive works as well as prints and mounted photographs.
The event will continue to respect Covid rules so there will be hand gel available at the entrance and we would ask that masks be worn inside the gallery, and that everyone should respect social distancing.
Please do come and see our very first exhibition together – we’re really proud of it and hope you will enjoy seeing our work as much as we have enjoyed creating it.
